New skill

Okay so,

Anybody know how you would add an entire new skill? I'm interested in doing such a thing again.

Any tips? Or even guides that I dont know about? Has anybody done it?

well As i know u need to Enter the Spell Informations in MagicType in Ini Folder and add them in your navicat db for sure then Design your Spell Icons and put them In Data/Main And if u would like to create Effects you should Add the Spell Effects in C3/Effects/Skill and load all of these effects using dbc files but the only problem is that u cant Edit on DBC files :(

1) Not everyone uses Navicat nor MySQL.
2) You can edit dbc files.

you could make skills out of existing files though, ultimation made a skill that summons guards and go after you.

w.e i meant adding the skill information into ur F**cken db idc what u use to be read and about the dbc files hell yea u cant edit on them but it wont be called by conquer.exe So ...

first in ur handle.cs
to handle how ur skill should work
2nd in ur magic type in db u can control thepower,range,time etc .... For the skill
3rd in ur magictype add skill info
4th in ur magiceffect.ini add skill effect
5th in ur ani in magic.ani add the dds file for the new skill thats it all

dont worry about dbc u can compose between effects of other skills or non skills like that

yea my own custom skills are very simple to be done
u can use any effect in the game compiling with other effect there are 3 kinds of effect
effect of the attacker = the effect that is shown on you
effect of target = the effect that shown on a target
terrain effect = the effect that goes from the attacker to the target [like viper fang]
and u can also control the motion for the skill through
act of attacker = the motion id for the player [like toxig fog jumping or whirlwindkick]
act of target = the motion id for the target and how it recives the damage

u can make a skill that gives halos , a skill that is combining between terato dragon and banshe skill even not only effect of skills any effect in the game even weapons effects :D without dbc editor or even thinking about dbc

but if u want to make ur own effect or getting effect from eudemon then i suppose that u should make a little replacment with an unuseful effect

that it all about effect

p.s: effects not only located in c3/effect/skill
its located in c3/effect
