Introduction:
Our idea is to make the server great for normal people, not to hard, not to soft.
We mixed the servername with Co and Classic, brings us to: Colassic.
Colassic in development will bring many people the classic experience back!

The Idea:
Colassic was first ment to be a 5095 source to work as a 4267 server.
We changed our minds, we are making a 5000 server, from scratch a whole new source.
I will keep you guys updated on facebook and here on this thread.
For now we have "nothing" just the idea and the start of a working source.
You can follow out progress below or on facebook.

We love our community, so if you have a great idea for us, please share!

Closing
So this is all info for now..
I'm very happy with this project and I hope it will be a big success.
Most of you think: What happens if I got great gears, worked for 3 weeks and the server goes down?
Well. Thats not gonna happen. We have enough money to host it and we will keep hosting it no matter what!

Thanks,
JobvdH!

Definitely more of an advert than a development thread =/

Going with korv here, 4.5/5 of that was just telling us what it is, only 0.5/5 was actually the development of it, in your words "progress"

Ah well.. then I should better change it.

You know a development thread means documenting development, in detail...not "-Advanced features (Started)"

A development thread for you, this should be an absolute minimum of what this thread should be like, see err impulses/pro4nevers threads for better, more detailed examples.

No a real classic server would be on 4267 and below not 5095 and would not contain any modifications to the client

I modified the client so it looks like 4267. (1.0)

Why waste your time modifying the client when it'd be infinitely easier to downgrade your source?

Unless you're running the binaries, in which case this development thread shouldn't exist.

Its probably infinitely easier to use someone elses client too.....

There's a problem with the 1.0 client. When you run it with DirectX 10 or above, it glitches and sends junk over the chat channels. Patch 5000 has that fixed. It would be interesting to see someone code a server for that patch.

So yeah this still isnt a development thread, i think it needs closing to be honest.
