[HELP]Making Armors

Hey guys. I need some help here. I know when making a weapon you have to edit the Weapon.Ini. But what about armors/headgears? I go to the Armor.Ini but it's not exactly the same as the Weapon.Ini. Anyone know exactly how this works? Much thanks.

Actually I found a guide that might help me with armors. So I'm gonna check it out.

Lol sorry. I checked out the post though and it is stil confusing because the guide says 1 thing bit then my results vs the guides results are different.

I was looking to use this guide as a reference but after looking at it I'm being to wonder if adding new armors is even possible:

I'm sure it is somehow. I've never seen a Private Server with new armors. But than again I never really looked for one. Hopefully someone can shine some light on this subject

Its entirely possible, I helped with the creating of the "HybridArmor" and "Storm" from HCO.... You just have to add a ton of textures and then edit a ton of .ini files.... After adding to armor.ini, you also need to add it to ItemType.dat, and depending on your server syntax, to the server files..

For actual +, you need to edit ItemAdd.ini in the server and the client.

I've already added all the items into the Source files and the SQL Database. Also already did the itemtype.dat. ATM I'm just planning to use the same looks of armors already in CO. I've already made Weapons before. But this doesn't seem to be as simple as adding weapons. Either that or there's some simple thing I don't know that would make this a lot easier haha.

yes you can add armors, its similar to how i add weapons, it is alot of work,
u have to edit alot of stuff to add it n ther

i may release a guide later on how to add armors its not that hard if u read my
guide to adding weapons

[EDIT]
when i say its "its not that hard to do if u have read my guide to maken weapons"
wut i mean by that is that u didnt just read the guide and did wut it said
i mean that u understand how it works, why u had to edit this n that

i can add new spells too :O

Actually thanks to your guide to adding weapons I put in a couple already. :) But this doesn't seem as easy. =\

And I understood your guide perfectly. Matter of fact I didn't even put in a new blade. They were actually a Bow and Arrow. It's just that in the Weapon.Ini all the weapon item numbers are there. But it's not like that in the Armor.ini

i dnt plan on making a guide for it any time soon, as u saw took alot of work
just to make a nice guide that any one could read

your best bet is to go through all the ini's and see what all they do, try to
understand how they work, then u'll b able to do it

when i first figured out how to make weapons i went through every single
ini, sum ani's, n few other files

takes alot of work
