strange sql bugg

after many attacks from you know who we got a glitch in sql and i have tried everything. exept change db files and reload all the data to them.

in here we have many good dev's so i wanted to ask for tips for it to work.

every time we try to loggin to the game (exept first 2-3 after maint) need to loggin 2-3-4 even 5 times before it exept it..

this happend a long time ago and i have changed host reinstalled sql many times and so on so have to be a bd error.

i havent tried backup db and reinstall it that way.

but is there other tips and tricks to get this error fixed? it's a brand now i guess but still bothering me :-)

go to your user master data right before you restart your game server and quiry your leaves = 1 and change them to 0. doing this tells the server that all accounts that are not banned are logged out and they can log in.

Without being able to replicate the error, it is difficult to debug. My guess is that ps_login.exe has a try/catch block for the login attempt. If it takes too long to respond, it fails and goes into the catch block, which sends certain packets back to the client (the one you see) to keep the client alive.

I suggest finding and using a SQL profiler to attempt to find the problem.

well stuff is for me. it's like i always get it on secound try. it always fail on the first. at ones like there is no accounts or anything, but secound try about always works. and it's that every singel time. i can type in enything i want the first time still i get it on secound try.

but with alot of ppl online i needed to try 3 to get it but that about never happends..

so it's ps_game.exe error? and no sql?

i'm using the lvl 75 cap one found here on the fourm. can that be bugged?


btw i'm looking for one that have hp bugg and lvl 75+ fixed he he

if the skills are fixed i can take that too but ppl are used to the workaround heheh

ps_login handles logins. That's why you need to use a SQL profiler, to see if ps_login is actually failing, or if it is something in the database. If you could get that information, it'd be easier for me to help you.

You just need to run it long enough to attempt login and get the failure notice.

and why is ps_billing opening all the time?

i tried looking at it and well nothing in there as i can find LOL..

this might be a way to find cheaters too i guess but this is way over my head i guess "for now anyway"

PS_Billing controls quite a few things, including the Bank Teller. You just need to attach to the SQL Server and look for anything suspicious.
