Moderator Application [Conquer Online]

Me:
My name is Jacky and I'm (in my opinion) a long time member of elitepvpers.
I'm 17 years old and I'm a International Business and Management student in the Netherlands.
I can be contacted through MSN ([Only registered and activated users can see links. Click Here To Register...]) or private messages and I advise people who try to contact me to not e-mail me since I do not check my inbox due to large amounts of spam. Simply add me to MSN and I'll accept when I see the request.
MSN is preferred since my mail inbox is filled with spam and I honestly don't like going through spam to find mails.
Now as to how much of my time I spend on elitepvpers, my browsing habits look like this:
forum -> e*PvP -> forum -> forum -> e*PvP -> forum -> e*PvP -> site -> forum -> e*PvP -> site -> forum -> forum -> e*PvP etc.
Due to a habit and how Firefox handles url (few letters = website), I browse a select few sites a lot with random others thrown in and e*PvP is one of the sites that I visit a lot.

What is the reason you decided to apply?

The Conquer Online (CO) section only has 1 moderator and it seems that he is rather busy.
It seemed like a good idea for me to apply since I spend a lot of time on elitepvpers. I also live in a different timezone from the other moderator so it's possible for me to deal with stuff when he's not around.
Related to the fact that there's only 1 other moderator, the CO forums can be quite a mess with a lot of things posted in wrong sections or just plain spam. I report random spam posts whenever I notice them and if I don't forget to do it (slips my mind every now and then) but it'd be a lot easier to simply be able to remove/move/correct posts myself. I also hate seeing messy forums as it doesn't look good.
I have decent amounts of free time on my hands due to university not scheduling that many classes, however, that might be subject to change since it changes weekly but I expect it to not suddenly completely fill my days with lectures.

Experience with the subject:

I've been involved with CO since early 2006 and I've been around on the e*PvP section of CO since I registered. I'm not a great coder or expert Conquer player but I have a decent amount of knowledge about the game and in my opinion an ok character if you wish to know.

Are you mentally prepared and fitting for such a position?

I think I am. I'm a rather calm person, I won't randomly rage against people or do other raging things (proven by the fact that I've only gotten 1 infraction while being a member) and I can patiently help people when needed. I must admit, however, that I do not exactly know what is involved in being moderator due to not having any moderator experience but my view on the moderator position now is that the task is to keep the forums clean, neat and organized. If it does turn out to be a lot harder than I thought; I will simply adjust to the amount of work that is required.

Experience as a moderator:

None, I've never ever been a moderator anywhere thus this will be my first experience as a moderator if I get accepted which will then also be an interesting learning experience.

Also thought it was a bit short but I'm bad at writing these kind of formal things.

I suggest you to overwrite your application, even if you're not good at writing. It's (in my opinion) necessary to prove and also explain yourself with a suitable and extended application. :)

Ever since I can remember, Kiyono has been an active member. His join date: June 2006 - That should say a alot. He helps as much as possible, and he has made quite a few releases.

Vote: Hell yes

Could see him doing a good job. Can't really say much about him past that.

Generally not instantly coming to mind when I think of the co section is a FANTASTIC thing. There's far too much mess in the section caused by all sorts of members (productive and otherwise).

Best of luck.

I don't think that I should randomly write more text just to make it longer, doing so would most likely make me seem better than I am and making myself seem better than wouldn't give the people reading this the right impression.
If I get denied with this, then so be it. It'd mean that I'm not suitable.

You got that wrong. It's just more about explaining the situation, explaining, how experienced you are and just extend it without lying or something like that. I meant to put more effort in an application.

Your app doesn't really tell us anything about you, just your age and your email (the rest is kind of obvious, seeing as you just applied here). You should really make this a bit longer and tell us more about yourself.

Moderator applications arnt just about being able to do the job, your personality, ability to work with other people, personal interests/what you get upto away from epvpers are all valid points that could potentially be taken into consideration.

Like any job application really. :)

I added a few lines here and there and will try to think of more.

Yes, no question about that.

Added something about how much I visit e*PvP.

Your application is much better now, Kiyono would make a good moderator for the Co section in my opinion, a generally helpful and constructive person and well mannered.
