How to run CR in 64bit Operating Systems

01/31/2012 00:23 yttuncel#1
Hello guys,

First of all this is something that needs to be verified, and it worked for my 64bit PC, hopefully will work for yours too.

You need to install two setups microsoft provides, the .Net framework and the Redistributable Package.

Also do not forget to run CR as administrator.

New Edit: Use Windows7 x64 Home Premium not Ultimate!

Here the links.

.NET Framework

Microsoft Visual C++ 2010 Redistributable Package (x64)

Please post your feedbacks, as I said this needs to be verified.

Thanks

No you do not need to uninstall preexisting one since 2010 already includes those.

Yes it does unfortunately, but I cannot find a solution to that issue.

@TS I just bought a new laptop with the following specs : Intel i5 2430M/4GB DDR3/ 2GB DDR5 Radeon 6770m HD...

im also using laptop w/ the same specs except mines 1gb vc.

i downloaded those 2 from microsoft.

@mrdrarej If your OS is Windows of course there would be no harm to your OS as these setups are Microsoft made.

Need more feedbacks please return to this topic if you tried it.

Well, did you try doing these steps after installing the packages?

Quote:
Delete the folder: C:\Program Files\Common Files\INCA Shared
Delete all files in: C:\Windows\Prefetch
Delete all files in: GameGuard Folder (in your Game-directory)
Delete the folder "CabalRider" in: C:\Users\YOURUSERNAME\
Delete all CR files
Run CCleaner to clean your registry
Restart your PC
Download and install a fresh copy of CR
Start CR with Administrator rights
