install_server.bat

when i run install_server.bat i get a error saying

[ODBC Driver Manager] Data source name not found and no default driver
specified
Press any key to continue . . .

i have never expiernaced this problem.

cant conected whit saver any1 can help me, need name from server shaiya to can conected ty

Well Attach the DB manually is easy .... but you have think about how to START the server without PSM_Server.Mgr if all process are RED and unistaled ?

Let me tell you this if u dont want to help dont post until on forum .... i dont care if i get avertisment or ban on here i`m tired to see "Use the search buton" or "Use Google is always helpfull" this comunity has been made to help the developers and make tutorials not to give always that answers .... so we have this problem "Error with Install_Server.Bat" if anyone can asnwer to this we will aprecied it .... but dont comment until !

Err.. did you check date of thread? O,o and you can manually install/run ps_agent and normally they will turn to green, then go to PSM_server and install them. Also you can use the PSM_ServiceMgr.exe to install/start everything which is in Shaiya Server\PSM_Client

You have to install/run PSM_AgentClient..

All I can say is, you are not following the procedures correctly, Bane's answer is correct, the fact that you are not able to get it to work doesn't make it an incorrect answer, as I myself have done this process all the time, by manually attaching the database files to SQL and running all my services without any flaws; just follow JuuF's advice, that way you will be able to get everything up and running, and if not, simply uninstall it and reinstall the manager.

aswell didnt work anything so i reinstall all again thx for answer ;)

and John .... if u want i can make and send you an SS i cant see the date of posting here so that is not my fault ... btw that answer of Bane ( no offence Bane ) isnt helpfull .... always i`ll respect everyone here but with this answers we dont get any help that mean if someone dont want to help better to dont write anything i`m always looking up over here and i see alot of ppl with this answer "User Search Button" or "Go on Google" that isnt helpfull really if someone give this answer that will dont increase to much "The Search Button" i`m tired to search for hours and dont find the threads for what i need so i`m posting where i see the problem .... i hope u can understand us :) !

The issue is that people don't use the search correctly, the fact that there are many posts saying to use the search is because people keep asking what has been already posted, and there is no point on keep answering the same questions over and over again, Bane's reply, which was done 01-24-2012, 17:19 -no possible way that time isn't showing for you as that is a feature of the forum engine itself-, is helpful, by attaching database files manually people are able to keep going, not everything should be done for people by a program, even less by a .bat file
