Can't use passworded accounts...

I'm working on the loft source for a small server for me and my buddies to screw around on. Just little trivial crap like seeing who can win a FBing contest with lvl 1 blades, etc. You know, just small ways to waste our lives quicker ;)

My most recent problem is stumping the shit outta me...

I can only use accounts without a pass. If I make an account in MySql I have to leave the password field blank.

My test account is called Admin with no password. So I can log into the server using the password 0. It works.

Then I tried making myself an actual account to represent myself. Account name Legend with password ilikesex.

When I try to log in with that account I get the ol' "Connection with server interrupted" error.

Anyone know what the hell is wrong???

The password is set on the first login... So leave the password field blank :rolleyes:

Make a new account,lets say

Account1

These fields should be put in :

AccountID or whatever = Your acc id
Status = 8 = GM
LogonType = 2 = Char creation

Then the first password you use at the first time you logon that acc,will be set,but if you look at mysql at that password,it will say like 25f26f235asd, so dont worry about it :)

LOTF doesn't have the password encryption/decryption, and I doubt anyone who has it will give it to you... or me =<

You are wrong. ;)

It's a custom Conquer encryption that only a few people know how to decrypt and encrypt.

Basically what the others said:
LOTF does not support the above (CO password de/encryption) and therefore the new accounts made must have a blank field for a password. When the account logs in for the first time, the encrypted password will be inserted into the database and stored for a secured login next time.
