We Need A Moderator

After receiving many opinions about me coming mod, I thought it might be best til' I can become so called, better, and being a mod. Thanks for the fun though.

LOL they way you posted this, it points to all the gamebreaking mods that you want to remove when you dont want others to get Lol i think its funny.

I'm not exactly sure you'd be willing to hold the position.
It's stressful and you have to be available almost 24/7.

Plus because this is elitepvpers, you have to have a non-biased outlook on Mabinogi's hacking scene to properly moderate this forum. Just because someone posted an "underground" hack is not enough of a reason to delete it. The only things you should be deleting is spam, viruses, duplicate posts, etc.

The fact that you have no experience as a moderator of any sort also bugs me, heh.

Those are my reasons I'm voting against you. Feel free to try to sway my vote though, this section really does need a moderator.

(I'm actually resisting applying for moderator for these reasons. I'd probably pull a Bishop and forget to look at the forum one day, and all hell will break loose..)

Well... I know what you are saying, and I also realize that this IS A hacking forum. I have changed my opinion of what I was planning on doing to this forum. I know I can't regulate everything (thanks for pointing that out everyone who talked to me) But I know that I can make this much better for everyone. I will take ideas, opinions, etc and I will run them through. This forum needs control, and I am willing to do that. Yes, I know I need some working on, but that is why I am taking opinions from the people so that I can become a better moderator and help this forum as much as I can!

I was asked what my game plan on this forum would be... The very first thing I would/will do is get rid of how messy this forum is! In my eyes, there are too many things that could be less cluttered. Like bishop did before, I want to make a compilation of everything useful this forum has to offer. It bothers me how messy this forum is... That is the main thing I want to do.

You don't Need to be a Moderator to compile helpful links into one post.

You're going about this all wrong, the path of a Moderator shouldn't be "Become a Moderator -> Help the People," but rather the other way around. Moderator Status should only be an Extension of what you otherwise do normally.

And personally, I don't think you've earned such an honor. Or rather, I don't think you've demonstrated the responsibility needed to properly execute such power.



P.S.: I also tried making a posts after Tylian's, which also included the fact this is a Hacking Forum, and as such any biased judgement from a moderator could end in unfair censoring of content, but it got lost into the vastness of the internet.

the thing is, when doing it I want to kill many birds with one stone. Going through the mass amount of threads in this forum will allow me to be able to have the access of deleted duplicate ones, etc. That is why I would do it being moderator, etc

What I'm saying is, this situation isn't like you're going: "Phew... Another day of working hard at cataloguing every helpful post, so it shows up in one Thread, and beginners don't go starting new ones... Now that I'm done with this, let's see what else I can do to better the forum."

It's more like, "Oh hey, I'm soooo tired of noobs posting the same questions all the time, if I had Mod-Powers, I could just delete all the "Unnecessary" posts. Oh, but I need an Alibi... Ah! I know! Attention people: I need Mod-Powerz to Compose a Helpful Link Thread."

My opinion is, start your work. Show you're dedication. Earn our Trust.

It's not a secret there's an excessively large amount of Threads on here you dislike, or disliked at one point.

And quite frankly, I've found many-a-gold pieces to help me during modding in some of the posts you might just deem "Unnecessary." Gold pieces that will be entirely gone to anyone after me, if you go around deleting entire "Duplicated Threads."

But that's just My opinion.

A vote is something you earn, not something you wish upon.

Moderators are given the tools that they're given in order to help them do a better job at what they're already doing.
