The error you are receiving normally refers to ports not being forwarded (opened) properly. Please take a look at not only your routers port forwards but also your windows firewall (inbound) rules.


Ports Required:
- 1433 (database)
- 3516 (Gameserver)
- 4500 (Gameserver)
- 4502 (Authserver)
- 4516 (Gameserver)
- 4515 (OPTIONAL! Only open if you intend to use CaptainHerlocks Telnet Feature)
- 4518 (Gameserver)

!!! REMEMBER !!!

These rules must be applied in BOTH your Router AND your Windows Firewall (Vista, 7, 8 -- Just click start and type 'Windows Firewall' in the search box. MAKE SURE to assign the port rules into the 'INBOUND' category.

For added measure, after adding the ports to your firewall, add the programs captainherlock and princessaurora (Sometimes known as Game Server.exe and Login Server.exe) to the inbound and outbound lists. Selecting 'add program' instead of 'add port'

Hmm Okay i will try but can you make maybe some screenshots how you do with the firewall pls...

I can not sorry, I no longer use windows. So screenshots of how to do it in Linux wouldn't be of much assistance to you. But I wish you luck in your endeavor. Just remember it is more simple than we make it out to be, a little determination mixed with a little google goes a long way.

Windows XP/Vista : Standart Firewall Windows 7: I can't Help you sry.
1. Open Firewall
2. Search For PrincessAuroraServer (or Login Server when you use Redemption Repack.)
3. Add the Right Port (Look on Smokes Post )
4. Try Again..
5. Don't Forget in Princess/Login Start_service // Set game.open_external 1

He is using localhost, as far as I know the port forwarding isn't needed for local hosting, lol?

I understand your skepticism I only spoke because the only time I've ever seen that error was due to improper port forwarding. No need to be like that soul
