Unlocking Item Glitch

Does Anyone know if the glitch to unlock your item in like 1 min still works?

And what is it?, because i need to unlock my sword and sell it before i can buy a blade. Cant be asked to wait 5 days.

ehm didnt unlocking your weapon by trade to one of you other chars that is merchant unlock it immediatly i dont know believe i once heard something about that
