Option 1: wants a bot to hunt rare items. There are a few subscription bots (none free right now) that work on french conquer. Look in the bot section for more information on their features and costs.

Option 2: This was fixed a long time ago. Itemtype edits will now only let you see weapon quality on ground. Past that quality is determined after you've already picked it up!
