Question for multiclient

hi all

can any1 tell me the maximum number of clients 1 computer can run at the same time?

i can open 7, then once the 8th one opens, a random client closes.

thinking its my computer being too slow i tried 5 clients on 1st computer and 3 on 2nd computer. Again 1 random client closes on 1st computer.

does it mean my internet connection is too slow to send data to all those clients to keep them all open and gamegaurd closes the ones that miss a data packet ?????

i have seen some1 with many more clients running on 1 computer ( like 20+ ).

i dont need to run 20+ just 10. 5 on each computer.

any and all help much appreciated.

uhmm the number of clients depends upon your proc and ofc most important the RAM you have

for eg. If u have Win7 and total RAM 4Go. Win 7 takes about 800Mo. So u are left with 3.2Go

if Win 7 (32bit) u loose 1go), so u are left with like 2.2Go, so u'll run like 4 clients. above it will close all

if Win7 (64 bit), u have the 3.2Go, so easy 6 clients

its always nicer to have 2 computers. Main PC Win 7 (64 bit) --3-4 Go RAM. so u can run 2 clients + xfire + skype + blabla

and on second computer WinXp with 3Go RAM max, u can run like 6 clients easy

the reason ur clients close == windows closes them due do memory being unsufficient on 99.9% cases

now last test i made was 19 clients running xd with skype and torrents on download :p there a secret too, a file in Archlord if u delete it, ur game clients runs with 400Mo instead of 800Mo for eg

but that doesnt explain why i load the 3rd client on 2nd computer that the 1st computer closes 1 random client.

i know the Ram issue but the 2 computers are separate system and only connected by the router.

i can certainly increase my ram to 16Gb np but since both system is independent, why does loading more clients on 1 system make the other system close clients ?

im not the brightest bulb here xD but i cant figure out how the systems affect each other other than the bandwidth of my internet connection.

ofc i can be wrong again ( like many other times )

So u think every1 is a nerd ? Some ppl like only to play but have no experience in technic, like me how to repair a car --- but i like to drive with it :)

I told u 99.9% of the time is memory overstack or ofc overflow. Which means if u launch your clients too fast, it happens that u have some fail in ur memory. Secondly try to go to the "choose server" screen before launching another one

load them less faster. Wait to be at choose screen to launch second. You can have 1000000000000000000000Go RAM, but if ur proc suxx,.....

this has nothing to do here. AL has gameguard. You can still play with a 1kbit/s Internet connection so
