yes it gets rid of the services as how you would do it in cmd typing them individual since you cant copy the services in to the cmd and get rid of them all but now iv'e made a batch files that's very useful so you can do it faster than doing one at a time all of them if any errors occur and you have 2 restart the server of making it if that makes more since please let me know

The batch files are already released...or w.e.

Get the OmegaFiles and check for a folder called batch. ;)^^

/facepalm

aresqq, the batch he released is to REMOVE the Shaiya services, not to install them. The Omega ones are to install them.

Like Mr.Kester said, after you've run the original batch the Shaiya services are running in your computer, and make it impossible to install the server fresh if necessary. That's when the installer throws the "Service is already running" error. The .bat he released just removes all those "already running" services at once, to make way for a clean install (otherwise they must be removed one by one from the task manager, etc).

I haven't tried them yet, and please everyone be very careful because batch files could *seriously* screw up your computer, but assuming they're clean, I think this release is really helpful. I wish someone had told me about cleaning out the services when I was trying to first set up my server, once upon a time. So thanks, Mr.Kester. Lovely release. =)

Sorry to dissapoint you Phantomangel042, but i have downloaded OmegaFiles again, and i opened the archive.
Yes OmegaFiles are to install the services, but he already has the batch to remove them also.

And i am right...check the following screenshots.

There already is a batch file for them. xD

So i do think those credits actually go to Omega.

The batch from Krester.

The batch from Omega.

D: I don't have that! /jealous Those would have made my life SO much easier in the beginning when I was tearing my hair out trying to figure out why the damn services were already running. xD

Apologies to Omega and aresqq for saying they weren't there. Still, some people used different methods of setting up their servers than Omega's tutorial, so it's nice to have the removal .bat posted here separately.

Although, I'll have to take a look at the batch files Mr. posted to see if they're simply ripped from Omega's. Cause in that case, that's just lame; but if they're original work, I still say thanks for making and pointing them out for others. ^^
