Step 1. Get a picture of smoke like the one here:
Step 2. Create a new layer, Then select the gradient tool and choose the Rainbow Gradient:
Step 3. Drag Gradient tool over the image from one side to another. Result should look like this:
Step 4. Go to the Layer Options tab and change the drop down menu from Normal to Overlay:
Step 5. End Result should look like this:
