[Question] 5017 Client Editing

12/24/2011 07:16 a7xfan06#1
Is it possible to move the position of the login box etc, in 5017? I know it's possible in 5095, I just can't seem to figure it out in 5017. (And yes, I've searched the forums for answers.)

Thanks in advance.

You can't without editing it's .dds file and i believe there is a .ini file you must also edit to change where your type your user/pass

I may be wrong tho

That's what i'm looking for, is a way to change where you type in your username and password's position.

If I had to *guess* where... I would say "GUI.ini" (since it isn't* flash in 5017).

Alrighty, thanks, I'll take a look and see what I can do.

Are you sure there is flash in it? If you use a wdf extractor it will have the login as a .dds no .swf or what flash file >.<

That's what I thought, but otherwise I'm not sure where it would be located...

If it's not embedded into the .exe as the perm design.

Although from what I see thus far, it seems like most of what's in the GUI.ini is ingame things.

You've got me curious are you developing a 5017 server?
And is it a custom source or a publicly released one?

Yes, we are developing a 5017 server, It's a custom source, and It's actually just about ready to go public.

Just looking for a way to spice up the client a bit.

Wait... damn it. Is it? I have no idea ... once I think about it.
What I should be saying is... the login boxes don't interact with flash animations on the login screen like they do in the newer clients... so the text boxes are most likely assigned positions in gui.ini OR conquer.exe. I opened Conquer.exe once and found some guis... I'm not sure if that's where it's assigned a position tho.
