[Dev] Angelic-Co

12/12/2011 01:52 { Angelius }#1
Hello everyone:

My name is Adel and I'm the sole developer for project Angelic-co. I have been working on this project for a long time.
It's important to let you all know that Project Angelic-co has been a learning experience since day 1 but it has developed good so far and I'm looking forward to testing it.

Source written in C#, I started it from scratch, making progress and coding things, Structured almost all its packets my self, but never thought about advertising it or introducing it to the public.
Starting today I will be updating this thread with the latest progress/details of the server. Basically I plan on collecting information and suggestions about how the in-game functions should be.

The project is now to the stage where we can began testing it. It's almost impossible for me to test all the server features/systems by myself so a beta version will be launched soon.
Your input will be greatly appreciated. I will keep you updated on when the beta version is online for testing. Thank you.

Good luck. I remember the bit I saw of it was looking promising if not perfectly efficient (learning projects never are). Hope the testing goes well for you ;)

Sounds awesome. I'd be happy to help test it when it goes into beta.

You sound like you're almost done really.
What source are you modeling it after?

Yikes. There are no good qualities in LOTF or NCS2.
I really hope he's not; though why do I care,
I don't play anyone else's private servers.

Last time i asked for help was like 8 months ago and the post dident contain any codes. so i really don't know how did you come up with that crap. and even if *ppl do learn you know*

However we are not here to discuss my coding skills and how good it is, Curious!! fine then wait until the beta version is ready and then you can judge.

actually LOTF and how crappy it was is the reason i started this project :)

Haha, good! that's the reason why I started my own source too. Good job. What are you modeling it after though? Like mine was first modeled after Impulse's source. The only thing that I copied really is the way he organizes the source (it has good organization - which is why I liked it). I'm sure you have your influences too, right?

No, I had no idea. I uploaded it for my blog really. I don't use images from other websites on my blog without re-uploading them.

As a direct answer to your question... i would say none of the public sources

But... i consider any of the public sources a model it self... if its a bad one i always try to avoid the mistakes they made when they coded that source, and if it's a good one then its a chance to find something that might improve my coding skills in that source, or maybe to learn something new.

Awesome. It seems that a lot of people (like Hybrid) are giving up on developing something new. I'm with you - you have a good cause and motive. Good luck.

I guess Hybrid is busy with COAI.
