A message to all Private Server founders.

Okay, I may not know anything about coding Archlord or anything like that.

However I HAVE owned a 2moons (Dekaron) private server that brought me in (personally, via profit) over 1,000$ into my own pocket on practically a yearly basis due to a generous (and rewarding) competitive community.

Allow me to address what I think you guys are doing wrong when running your servers.

First of all, and I can't stress this enough. GET A TEST SERVER. Don't "Finish a patch" and then release it right away UNTESTED with bugs all over the damn place. Test your patches and only release them to the community when they are (practically) bug-free.

Second, K.I.S.S: Keep it simple stupid. Changing the very fabric of the game is ludicrous, adding in ridiculous things that people DON'T want is retarded! As a player base I'm sure the majority of us would LOVE to go back to Episode 3, maybe Episode 4 or 5. But we would rather play a BUG-FREE version of Episode 3. Then a complete GARBAGE rip-off of episode 5!

Third, make your website look professional. I can't stress this enough. Going to a server to register and having to go to their host IP and making your own password, ect. is stupid. Get an actual website where you register via a script. It makes you guys look incompetent and unprofessional.

Fourth, your chantra shop. People would LOVE to donate. The only reason why Archlord has even been alive for as long as it has is because of people constantly paying out of their ass to be the best. Make the NECESSARY CC free @ the merchant. But keep the things that make people REALLY good a cash item (wing chests, ring chests, shit like that).

Lastly, keep it professional on your own forums, your community has to look up to you. "Dnt typ 2 ppl lik dis", and certainly don't argue with people or just straight up lock threads/topics because you posted in them. Ask if there's anything you can do to help them. BE USEFUL.

That's all I really got, I'm not really insulting any of you. These are just some tips I managed to round up. I've made about 5,000-6,000$ for running a Dekaron private server for ~2 years and had a player base of about 600-1,000 people on at any given time during the day.

Please take some of my advice, or don't. I don't really care. I'd just love to see a GOOD Archlord private server flourish instead of disappear after a month.

the problem is that you can't trust the administrators on the forums. Personally it would be better if there was a like ElitePvPers Archlord private server with all best coders, mods etc

Actually my Dekaron server is now self-sufficient.

I have myself, the actual owner of the server, an admin (over-looking everything), a developer, a head GM, and 2 GM's to take care of the game for me. I just sit at home and collect the profits.

If I'm in an imaginary World, I'm glad there's money in it.

You say that you're 'experiencing it 2 times now', probably because you never did it right the first time.

I've been in inf al team with you when i was mod of inf forum, you did nothing, everyone else was working on server except you. Sorry I said this, but don't say think you have no idea about, i doubt you even saw server files.

Admin of Archlord pserver wants only money.... it's the problem :D

When I created Infinity Archlord, I never think about money and it worked really well at the beginning

Now : Server Crash every 5min because Teodor know nothing about Server Files x]

What AL pservers really need is equality. No donations or other advantages to single players or guilds. Since this will not happen, there will be no hope for any kind of AL pserver. Just skip it right now.

In this case, people like you should stay away from AL pserver business. No offense. My intention always was to give a server to the AL community on which they can have fun and not beeing forced to pay for playing.
And that's what it should be like and what I stand for.
Most of the people here got bad experience with spending much money for webzen, this is what unites players. Seems like YOU actually have no relation to the AL com and since you just want to make money you could gladly team up with webzen if you really think so.

Are you sure i was never in team chat? What about Adam's and yours gay jokes? I was in team as long as real inf-al existed.I quit the same moment i felt it's not going good anymore.You should really stfu before i dig all the skype conversations where we(team) are talking about progress and what should who do and ure just chilling doing nothing like always.

You see; private servers aren't a charity. It's a business. You're in it to make money, if you're paying out of your own pocket congratulations.

You need an income to self-sustain yourself. You will never see a private server that doesn't accept donations flourish because they will never have the funds to have a dedicated site, server, test server and competent staff.

Also, on my old dekaron server I paid my developers 50$ per patch/update (out of the donations from the players) so they have more incentive to make the server better.

Ur talking about the old skype conv. with adam? That's not what we were up to. I still have like 10 convos of infi and I don't see your name in any of them, so stop talking bs and do sth. better then wasting your time on answering posts on epvp that are not your business. thx in advance.

I still trust in my values.
Since some people might spend 50€ a month for their hobbies like playing golf or whatsoever without getting an income, professional AL pserver founders have to pay the server costs without donations, so you can see the server is like a hobby for them and they will care about it. I've got a concept for a working pserver without any donations, but I actually don't have time for this.

archlord is a game of his own,sustaining a server isnt that easy like other games,if you dont have the founds to sustain the server,eventualy you will close'it becauze the server give you --- money and he gains +++ moneys so make the balance :D...well maybe someone will open a server with no donations or somethingh like this and the time will pass..1month...2months..3..eventualyy he will close'it cuz all kinds of problems appear/family/personaly/schol/work/friends/money/death :( and he willl ask himself why to sustain a bulshit sv who dont give me nthing
