game teleporting portals

i was wandring on how to creat portals to travel from a map to another instead of npcs , in 5165 there is a file as i remember called portals.txt , then how to make 'em on 5375 or higher ?

It requires adding the information to the DMap in the client. That's the only way to get the client to send the "enter portal" subtype of packet 1010/10010. The complete DMap file structure is public as far as I know.

When I get on school break I'm prob gonna write more with my map editor. When I do I may as well write a tool to add portals for people.

You shouldn't release it. :(

By the way, I'm not sure if adding the portal information to the DMap is sufficient to display the portal graphic. I've never tested it, but I'd assume it is. In addition to adding the portal information to the DMap, you also obviously need to handle the newly created portal in your server.
