(not just for me but for everyone who has tried to login)

completely replaced the mysql install and restored the files with a backup... apparenltly some portions of the mysql installation itself were corrupted somehow

are you restoring the files from a rar archive ?

it is possible that they get corrupted somehow , so the best thing you can do is extract all and then copy the needed files to the mysql dir

that can solve the problem sometimes

or a other quick solution is the repair option in navicat , use it and it can fix the problem to , but taht depends on how corrupt the files are

I was gonna say, just check the ini's for the game server files that run the server, make sure non of those got mixed up and everything in there is still fine.

Then check my.ini C:\Windows\My.ini

And check and make sure those files where still fine as well.

after many hours of doing exactly these things I realised some files were missing from the mysql folder somehow and wasnt sure what else would be missing so I just replaced the whole lot .. I am sure it had something to do with my joomla install anyways I managed to get it all working :)

moderator please feel free to close this thread as I have solved my problem thanks
