If I were you I would simply wait for it to be put into the Official server, and then simply extract it and get it implemented on your server

Chances are I can dig up the last xmas patch, however, in the case of something new being added, I would hold out on it.

As far as the patch to remove it, that is as easy as swapping the original files back in places when you are done with the patch. Back up the affected .wld files before implementing the patch.

This is what I have always done anyway, and have never had an issue. However, I can check around and see if I still have the old xmas patch anyway, just as a convenience. I may even have the patch OS used to "remove" the xmas stuff as well.

I'll see what I can dig up.
