Need for speed the run - Why isnt it working?

Hi i just bought need for speed the run and i have everything on the system requirements

Here is my specs:

* OS: Windows 7 Home premium 64 BIT
* CPU: 2.7 GHZ Intel core i5
* RAM: 4GB
* HDD: 320GB
* Graphics: 1.7 GB graphics RAm (intel HD)
* DirectX: Version 11

And this is what i need
* OS: Windows Vista SP2 or Windows 7
* CPU: 2.4 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo or equal AMD
* RAM: 3 GB
* HDD: 18 GB free disk space
* Graphics: 512 MB Graphics Memory
* DirectX: Version 10

as you can see i have all the requirements but when i open the game it says failed to create d3d device and something like you don't have direct x 10 on your computer but i do. I also system restored it and reinstalled direct x and my graphics driver is up to date, but still getting error message. PS. Need for speed hot pursuit 2010 works on my pc

Install the DirectX that comes with the game.

Install DirectX and update your driver.
Then it must work.

Yep, you may need related stuff from DirectX to run, same was here.

I did install the directx that came with the game and already have the latest driver for my graphics and it still says the same

Is there anything in the background that may use DirectX? Close all useless programs.

Do you have got a laptop?

yes i have a laptop. how do i find out if any other backgorud programs use directx and how to close them

Graphics: 1.7 GB graphics RAm (intel HD)

You won't get far with this one. It is just a lame integrated Intel graphics card. No wonder that the game is not running with it.

Onboard graphic-cards are not very useful.

but i can play hot pursuit 2010 with no lag and it only asks minimum 512 mb graphics card

Yes, but NFS HP 2010 only needs OpenGL 2.0

The newer games need OGL 2.1. And that version is not supported for onboard grafics.

how do i know what open gl i have if not if i download it will it work

You cant download it, it has to be supported by your grafic card, so you won't get it work.
