Well, to the dismay of many, I am sure, I am nearly complete with it, and I have every intention of releasing it when I do.
While I understand the logic of the matter, I can also see the extreme lack of thought behind denying it.
For one, this is a fix that a few have had for quite some time now. Two, there have been next to no releases over the past few months. I am just as guilty of this as anyone, however, most items I would have for release, have already been put out long ago.
While I will not judge anyone for choosing not to release it, as it is their choice and their right, I do not plan to follow in the footsteps.
No offense to anyone, but when a developer/owner of a well established server can not get into the exclusive "dev group", to expect them to follow suit in their feelings is quite absurd. The all seeing and all knowing ego of some when they feel they have the authority to state that something will not be released, just goes to show they feel they are the center of orbit for the Shaiya community. It is no wonder with thought of this manner that the community has such a hard time pulling together over simple matters.
The sad part of actually being willing to release it, is that I dont even plan to use it. I actually prefer the current "stagger method" we use now with the skills.
As castor stated, withholding releases in hopes of thinning the herd is no better than watching the rash of DDOS attacks climb, and baring a smile through it all.
The right to withhold a release is one thing, the reasoning is another.
On topic...I doubt many are going to trust a member with 3 posts when they are asking for cash. The fact that you would even try to profit off of it within a community such as this is just as bad as those who deny a release in hopes it will rid of the "lesser" servers. Best of luck, buyers beware. It's not an accusation, but rather a friendly piece of advice.
