Getting a very old client to run

So some months ago i downloaded some ksro open(or closed) beta client( [Only registered and activated users can see links. Click Here To Register...] )
I can open the pk2 files w/o any problem, but when i try to open Silkroad.exe I get this error:
[Only registered and activated users can see links. Click Here To Register...]
I tried a lot of things to get it running, but nothing worked
I tried it on Win 2k, Win XP English and Korean and Win 7 German
I have no idea where that error comes from

When i try to run the client iself i get this error:
[Only registered and activated users can see links. Click Here To Register...]

It would also help if someone could translate the errors

Did anyone here get it running? It would really help me

You could copy those errors from the .txt files in the media.pk2 and translate them too see what they say.

The Error occurs short after the startup(i played a bit with olly, but I'm not good at it)
so they the errors aren't in there, sadly

no the errors are in the textuisystem.txt in the media.pk2 it might also be another file but it is in the media.pk2.

But couldn't the problem be that the client can't connect to the server? it is an old client and the server files for that client aren't running anymore so couldn't that be the problem.

its working for me just try to uninstall any other versions and make it in a short path like c:\sro\
and try the system language thing.

No they are not
The Errors occurs right after the startup.
There isn't any pk2 file open

I made a simple program that just accepts a connection
Silkroad.exe doesn't try to connect

I already tried it at an korean version of XP
so let's hope that a short path helps

I spent some time trying to make it start Client.exe and after 3 days i finalled managed to get to that point:
[Only registered and activated users can see links. Click Here To Register...]
I'm writing a server for this client
As soon as it's possible to login and at least walk somewhere ingame I'll release a first alpha version of it
Bad thing is that it wants you to install DirectX 9.0b which isn't possible if you already installed 9.0c or other newer versions
I'll try to make a workaround for it asap

oh and the Client will be translated to english, don't worry bout that

and how will this game be? will it be like years ago? 80 cap or 70 cap? old joby system? i dont understand , whatsa good there? ^^

It's an ksro open beta client
it's from 2004 and version 44
It has 60 cap, there's no river between dw and hotan
There are quite a lot things that are different and prob no-one here ever played when it used to be like that

Taklamakan doesnt even exists!

LoginServer is nearly finished
It just makes some problems with mysql now(more specific: it sends the wrong info when i reload the gameservers while it's running; and yes, it'll use mysql; mysql > mssql and way easier to setup)
It'll be possible to add and remove servers during run-time and I think I'll add launcher news too

And how it's going ?

For some reason i get some errors when preparing the news for the client(and when I reload the gameservers; yes I'm still getting that error)

Well I'm trying to find good structure for CharData. Packet's are bit different in this client.
