Mysql help please

Updated!
Ok i have 1 mysql now and apache that chathouse told me to use so now server works/ website works but after i try to make an account from the register page i downloaded from here in the guides thread, i changed the config file to login to mysql but thing is added to mysql db my, and account there is nothing added also i tried to use a different template and it said that mysql was not supported 4.0 i have 4.0.26

dont install mysql with xampp it is conflicting with your other mysql installation (your database)

you need only, current

Apache 2.2.31 -> httpd-2.2.21-win32-x86-openssl-0.9.8r.msi

It just looks so bad and complicated .. it is simple. And if you are looking for in the goggle like you all are setting up enough you can find websites with detailed instructions.

forget this with xampp or wamp this is harder and is complicated

PHP dropped support for mysql 4.0 a while back. If you're using the latest PHP it won't let you connect to it.

that is so wrong but i found a post you saying to use older version to start website and php, mysql and the website works now but after i did that then my database would not connect and i could not even view tables in my database with that version T^T do you know the best release that supports both mysql php, and apache but is the newest ?

it contains mysql , apache and php

php is version 5.2
mysql is version 4.0.18
apache is version 2.0

not sure if it is mysql 5 or the mysql 4

if it is the mysql 5 please let me know so i can search for my other version on my pc or create it again
