easy private server creating idea

hi all
i was wondering about something

i see most users got problems with setting up a website , his server and more of those things so i was thinking about making a big release that contains just everything in 1 click

• website that is ready to go ( just a few edits for name)
• mysql , apache , php and a database ready to go (not sure what database yet)
• Server already pre configured ( just change ip in certain files and done , txt file include documentation )
• advanced register script pre configured ( [Only registered and activated users can see links. Click Here To Register...] )
• mailserver config files (just need to be installed -> [Only registered and activated users can see links. Click Here To Register...]
• statpage (if i find it back)
• easy donation script ( user pay -> rewarded instand in game )
• forum ready to go ( mybb forum )
• all in 1 exe file
• other suggestions are welcome

but before i even start on that , i like to know what all your idea's are about this

should i provide this release to make everything easy or is it not a good idea

please let me know your comment so i know if i should start working on it or not

depending on the comment i start creating it next week ( at 19/11/2011 ) so it will be ready a week later or so

ouch I dont think thats such a good idea .... give everyone the tools to just throw a whole pile of stuff they dont understand on their lap all in one click?..... Part of making server from scratch is the fact that you have to learn how to. if someone has to figure out how to put their site online other than simply puting their site online theyre learning how. if someone has to figure out some things about the gameserver they have to learn how to do it. etc etc etc
while some might not realise it at first this will make it easier for them to understand how to do other things later as well. especially in this type of game with the same kind of database as most websites.

then of course you bring rise to all of the sudden piles of support questions that will be posted about what to do because they dont understand what they just installed, and the millions of sites that will go online for just a couple days and go offline or of course
the 50 websites suddenly out that look exaclty the same
let people learn like the rest of us if a person cant figure out a website from a template or how to edit things in their server how will they ever be able to run the server?

i do not mind if they put 50 times a website of me online that contains my backlinks :handsdown:

and if you see that template then you will know that the site will be dead in 3 days (if it is still non edited )

but on the other side it does make things easyer for the other users , so they got the things working easyer and does not need to mess around that mutch with the stuff they do not know mutch about ( like php )

but like you say , i only want to create this to prevent any more rubish posts

for that reason i asked a poll , i like to know differend users there meaning and there vision

every one got a differend vision on this , and depending on the idea's i can create something nice or just forget this project and get maybe a other idea to help others

so feel free to leave your idea's and comments

I like it. Maybe you could make a CMS style which operates with the website and database. Anyway, if you'd like to make a sale of the automatic donation script separate message me.

the donation script is a idea that i will work on
if you like i can make a custom donation script for you only but i can not promise if i will use the same kind of version for this easy release ( probaly i going create a lite version for this release)
