[Release] mod_potato with minor bug fixes

10/31/2011 23:49 Misdirection#1
I'll release potato each time I fix one of the existing bugs. This version corrects the following issues:
  • Positional recording, this affects autopickup and a few other functions
  • Exploration light effects
  • Showing of Level/skill ups by other people

If you don't know how to make this work, too bad for you.

Know of a bug that needs fixed? Post here.

Crap, missed the correct forum. Requesting move please.

r100 Changed movement opcodes, again. Fixed.

It's only supposed to load metallurgy for you, not do it for you too.

Autopickup doesn't randomly stop anymore?

Autopick didn't "Randomly" stop before, potato wasn't recording positional updates making it think items dropped out of pick up range most of the time. This was due to Mabi changing the opcode for movement. It's fixed in this version.

Exploration light show didn't work right due to packet changes as well.

Same with showing level up/skill up.

Pretty much anything that stopped working is most likely because devCat changed an opcode. It's just a matter of finding the opcode and correcting it.

Fixed the encoding for display of rank ups. Shouldn't say "X has ranked Y to gibberish" anymore.

Apparently, Mod_Potato has been the cause of this dumb glitch.

Pets/other characters/golems go into "Dark Knight Disarm" once a status change occurs :l

also, when it happens, they are forced to "rest" when they are not moving. If it is on your golem or pet, they will not move, even when you control the golem or call the pet. If you mount the pet they will move, however.

Any idea how to fix that? :\

Edit: It's fixed after disabling a lot of mods. Time to single it out...

I really don't think that's an issue with Potato, but let me know if you find out that it is.

The problem is the "ReleaseHide" option. If enabled, some pets and chickens were doing the DK thing. Like aznboy said, it's when they rest.
11/04/2011 15:50 Misdirection#14
Ah, that would make sense then, I never use releasehide.

Since hide no longer works the way it used to (IE Everyone now becomes transparent regardless if they're in your party or not rather than dissapear) what should I do with the feature. Remove it? Fix it so it works like normal and makes hiders do DK Disarm effect?
