You know that Emulators are dead since the Real files got Released.

GL maybe you will get 1 player that didn`t hear of vsro files yet!

Well you obviously don't get the point of an emulator, for now you will be like OMG SERLVAR FILEZ WERÝ NAIS but in a couple of weeks you will notice that these files have -no- future at all. They can not be updated, they are not flexible enough, and when people 'can' edit some functions, they're usually too incompetent and fuck some other stuff up. The real future of private servers are emulators, and this will always be like this unless the latest ksro client and server source gets leaked.

Of course, most players are just too naïve or just too dumb to understand what a real emulator is, it's not "PAX EMU 5000$ PLZZ VB6 BEST!" or anything like that.

also, i have to agree with your point, emus are the future, and since server files are 100% public, reverse engineering is less needed

you think i don't know that ?
i know that emulators can be updated and that server files are limited to what they have
but to what will they update to ?
server files ( my guess ) have reached the end , with lv.120 now
if Joymax even thought of adding more levels then they will be ruining the game themselves as only old players will play and new players will avoid Isro since it has very VERY low exp rates to reach a high level without paying

Seriously, only "noobs" cannot update the files!
Those files have a big future.
Just not everyone is able to edit them.
And emulators wont have a future, not in 1 year, and not in the up coming 10 years.
Because no one is building up a team and is skilled enough to code a nice stable working emulator.

You wont get too far using an Emulator they are totally last year, maybe download the VSRO files as everyone does and set up a server from there even though its guarenteed 100% its going to fail anytime soon.
