HELP! Game data load error

10/24/2011 21:03 flared ego#1
Ok the problem is when I edit the local IP into the game.exe I get a game data load error after character selection soon as it starts to load, but I edited the the local IP in game.exe > config.ini with my personal IP the error goes away. Now the problem is i have dynamic IP and i would have to edit the .EXE each time i restart my PC. any ideas?

I have checked all my PSM_client config files and all look fine, also I have an issue making the server public, My router is netgear and im unsure how to enable the DMZ as it asks me to enter an IP which needs to be static I am unsure how to do this. Help would be very aprreciated.
Kind Regards.

are you using OS client? or someone elses client cuz if your using someone elses client well they screwd up on putting something in it and you are getting the result of that failure. if its os client then we would need to know that in order to help

If it is a local server, be sure that your IP is set to 127.0.0.1 as I think this is what you did wrong

i try to run the local ip 127.0.0.1 in the game.exe but as I said i get the game data load error, now when i enter my external router IP 192.168.1.XX the error goes away. very strange i know, and now my second problem i cant get the server to go public with hamachi but I think the the first problem is the source please someone any ideas??

found solution for those that may have this problem in the future the solution is simple. Create an .exe with your external IP in the first IP section right after the words config.ini and leave the second IP 127.0.0.1 make this your personal IP give to no one else cause it only works for you. Make the second .exe and edit the first IP adress as 127.0.0.1 followed by the public IP further down and send this to whom is trying to connect. This is due to a connection loop issue from hosting a server from the comp you access it with, a simple loop adapter software install may also fix this.
