Curious.. +1's should now be able to be added to item types?

I was wandering, in the old days a +1 was a random generation based when u pick up an item, however now days, wiv this +1 mentor bonus, it seems to know when a +1 is dropped by an apprentice, using this would it be possible to add +1's to item type or make an identifier for +1's?

To be honest, I'd say no based on only the fact I don't think TQ is that stupid. I'm not completely sure as I don't play anymore.

Items are not +1's until they are picked up. When you pick an item up the server either generates a +1 or it doesn't. It is a received packet, not a sent packet (unless I'm mistaken). If you pick up an item and the server generates a +1 for it, the server adds the +1 to the mentor. The key here is (and always has been) when the item is on the ground, it isn't a +1. If you already have a +1 item, drop it on the ground and pick it back up. It will not give the mentor another +1. The server only does that when it generates it.

my archer is on my mentor list and has hunted .59 of a +1 stone. i have picked up 2 +1s..... .59 = 59 +1 items.

Actually your wrong the item is +1 when it is dropped, except the information is 100% server side until you pick it up, then it becomes available to the client.

Yea, I know nothing about the +1 thing and how to actually get that for mentor... This being said, I could see this happening... It is in fact if thats THE ONLY way to get +1 stone from mentor, then this is true, though I don't know if anyone could have it identified... When I randomly plvl noobs or make a water (rarely)... I notice on my archer, I'm getting my mentor +1 stone... I thought to myself, how is this possible, I haven't or will ever do ANYTHING with my archer, just plvl...


So yea, I sure as heck don't know how to do it, but there could be a way.

Thanks for correcting me, my apologies.

And to Chad1122, can you explain how you've done that? Either I'm missing something (easy enough), or we're all missing something. Swords reply backs that up as well... And with some of the talent here I find that hard to believe.

Chad and swords. I have had the same issue. This leads me to believe that the server generates the +1 server side only before the item is picked up just as they said, however the mentor +1's are controlled server side (obviously) which means that it MIGHT be possible to make a +1 generator IF about 20K lines of code can be reprogrammed. The only way I see this as being feasible is that you would HAVE to have a mentor and that the hack would have to actually track the +1 reward that the mentor gets back to the precise instant of the item drop/+1 generation. That might not ake much sense as I'm tired, but if anyone can read this and translate it from dumbass to nglish, I'd appreciate it....or I'll just try to repost when i've not been awake for 48 hours.

ok maybe we can't detect a +1 item exactly. But if the mentor +1 stone is tracking and keeping up in real time, is there a possiblity to link an "alarm" hack to ur mentor. so when a +1 is dropped u receive a notice in real time and u can check the area? maybe not a good idea, idk.
