And what better place to find confirmation or disprove my theory than someplace with so many...searching souls?
As anyone who play the "Official" server for RF knows, the DC problem is getting quite intense. Now granted, some of this could be and no doubt is because of all the hacks and dupes going on. Not My concern truthfully.
My concern is a suspicion that CM servers are sending DC packets to clients. And that is why I am here. Being as blind as I am to the inner mystical working of the packets contents, I have sought out those more in tune with these creatures than myself.
I notice that even in the logs that the game generates line 50 invariably states the following: CNetworkMgr::Close : Request Close ( 1 ).now I can admit that I am noob when it comes to stuff such as this, but I cannot find a corresponding command anywhere on my system.I also usually obtain a few more OddMsg lines in the logs as well..one coming from(supposedly har har) the USPS in Virginia, at least according to the IP.
Now I realize that the networkmanager referred to is created by the program and that the program asks to shut it down. But invariably, in all my logs except the one I popped a circuit breaker on, the closure does not happen until right before the DC.I can be cast spells on My chandra which will show in the logs, then the closure and then " The End" while to me its a DC right in the middle of a battle. Such as what follows:
[157] 06/29/08 3:31:06: 1-1) sf sc => Increase Speed : 3156 ( 2, 98.53 )
[158] 06/29/08 3:31:08: 1-1) sf sc => Elemental Shield : 2932 ( 2, 91.07 )

[173] 06/29/08 3:31:58: The End
The only Macros I am using are the ones in the game which is legal. No "hacking or exploiting" software running, nothing.
Usually the only things that change about the last 3 lines are the line number, date and time.
So wise ones of the fiber threads in the gossamer realm..can You help this searcher discover the answer he seeks?
