Warcraft III Frozen Throne 1.26 + Cheatengine

Hi,
in the former versions of Warcraft III TFT it was possible to use cheat engine (even in multiplayer) to cheat gold. (DOTA map : getdota.com)

Now this way doesn't work anymore.

My Problem is:
I don't know why it doesn't work anymore.
If you cheat money now, then it displays @ your screen the cheated amount of money.
For example your started with 3000 Gold and edited the Memory to 4000 Gold then it displays 4000.

When you now buy stuff for 3000 Gold all is fine. But as soon as you buy items for more than 3000 Gold the other players get desync!

This means to me, that the other clients validate the gold amount of the other players.

Is that right? Does it validate? And how?
And why i get desync?

Any solution?

thx in advance

yes, if your gold amount is different from the server you get kicked.

Hi,
thank you for you answer but i think you answer is not accurate enough.
I think it must be something else.
Because if you play Dota (a map) on Warcraft III u normally do it over Local Area Network (that might be a virtual LAN like Garena).
So it's also possible that i host the game.

But even if i host the game and edit the amount of gold, the other players drop.

You got a solution / explanation for it?

Thank you

I apologize for bumping such an old thread,
Warcraft III runs each player in its own instance, meaning that every player holds there own statistics, if one of those changes from the others then it will cause a desync, making the host to parse them as separate instances, not sure how youd get around that besides hacking everyone's client.
