[Mini-Tutorial]Edit the Serverfiles

Hello Community

#First: It's my first Tutorial.

Edit 1: Problems with database. So i have to stop work till it's finish.

Today I make two tutorials how to edit something in the serverfiles.

That was a Mini-Tutorial for People. I know many People know how to make this.

But do not say something like that to me.

Its a Tutorial for Poeple, who have not much experiance with working on files.

Changing the .txt files from the server side for change the NPC text? That wont work >_>

You could be right. I have no working Server atm. Because i have problems with SQL Server so i can't look in the Database. Maybe in some times some camaneros get a root (i hope windows root but idk).

Till this. Someone can test it and can write a review?

It's my first Time working on DataBase btw Serverfiles and I'm not mister Perfect. So if something wrong post it here. Maybe me or you or something else know a suggestion.

Edit files in SR_GameRefData is only for SMC ;) If you want edit something in game you must edit .sql table and .pk2 ^^

yes you are right. But my SQL Server have a Problem i cant open it -.- i have to wait till i finish the tut's.

Files in SR_GameRefData are same as .sql table, but work only for SMC ;) So you can work of them and when your .sql will be work, just copy you work to .sql table ;)

are npc distributed by db or just txt files?

also, does a non sync itemmall works well?
(i mean having item mall db different from media.pk2) xcu some other games cash sho wont work on de-sync files

The .txt is for SMC. And the DB for working in client.
For Items adding or editing you have to change it in the DB and in the media.
DB < That you can buy Items
Media < That you can see Items

then is fully possible to add stuff to mall, but only i can see it if meida i got is edited the right way
