I, for one, always seem to resort back to Conquer during a boredom spell. And I, also for one, have noticed that what we once aimed for, 'moving away from Conquer's progression' has become a part of the past. I recognize that drakejoe67 may possibly share that thought with me, in terms that he is developing a server that has MANY new features that people have yet to introduce. I somewhat feel that a server's success isn't based 100% on it's code structure and stability, but halved with the creativity of its owner.
Well, given time and thought, I have come to the conclusion, even though I am very rusty at coding, I may interest in gathering a group (2-4 members) of coders & general assistance to develop a server (based on late 5300's), so that it still has many of the newer PVP features to compete in, but also to give an open window at developing in another direction rather than following official progress, like everyone seems to be doing.
Hellmouth also has a partake in the seperate progression, (away from CO), but not to the extent that I would prefer with this project. (no offense to anyone, my opinion of constructive criticism) I want the game to still be itself, (leveling most obviously), a hard leveling system (shit you not when I say hard // real conquer rates exactly, also reduce exp rates/db leveling) but still time for PVP when a character gets suped up. I want to emulate Conquer's rates and prices, but create a new experience for players. I am really encouraged to participate/FUND this project, and am eager to hear from people willing to throw in a hand.
