Any VSRO DownloadServer guides?

Hello,

Can anyone post how DownloadServer works? how do we make patches and let them autoupdate with loader (silkroad.exe)?

I haven't check it but the moduleVersion contains the patches if i'm correct. So if you add a line in that table it should be a new "patch"

but If I were you I would check out the SMC it probably has something about it in it.

Looks like it's waiting for more info but it never go past this msg.

I've played a bit with SMC but couldn't add a folder to module patch actually.

I don't understand you guys. You have the toy to play with, why are you asking for guides about how to play with it? Just investigate by yourself and you will find lot of stuff >_>

I dont have files too.. can you explain how?

Edit:-
I think it has something to do with files location on HDD.. can you please tell us where should patch files be located?

Edit 2:-
Patch files location is set at SMC's ServiceManager.cfg.
It works now.

when i change something in my client, it dont patch anything what do i wrong?
I tried different things in the SMC but it didnt solve the problem....

Changing things in client wont make it to patch.. difference between versions on server and client does.

Try adding a new update --> 189

Read this lines in ServiceManager.cfg

PHP Code:
ModulePatch
{
    SrcPath    ".\Patch_Internal"
    DestPath ".\Patch_Internal_Comp"
} 
Now check SMC_Punishment.cfg
u must edit it right and change the .html page to ur reg. page (i don't have any idea about this part!!)

then
in smc_updater.cfg
change to the same ip u enter in ini folder or server.cfg folder ;)

for who will ask about this

SrcPath ".\Patch_Internal"
DestPath ".\Patch_Internal_Comp"

Those are the paths of patche(u need to make ur client update with) ./.
Now and why smc_updater.cfg? Cuz that's make connect with gateway to let gateway gives the information for the client lancher that there is a new update ..

then go to MoudlePatch In SMC and then check that the patch is ready to work and download from any lancher will connect ;) ..

I Tested it and it works for Download the patch files, but when i check my sro folder they are puting there and not inclued into the media.pk2 (need compress pk2 tool or something)...where to get it?

btw: I do not mean the pk2 Edit or Extract Files. To make it work u need a Compress Editor to change the file type into something other so the module patch can read them..
