pROBLEM WITH ecsro

hi i heve problemwiyh ecsro.
i wanna play in ecsro on notebook with vista.first i tryied install ecsro but i had error with DBFILES so i copy ecsro from my PC from hard disc and paste to notebook (everything was ok). later i hit ecsro to play but i cant play beacouse i have directx 10 and ecsro need directx 9.0b. why i cant play though i have the best directx??????
PLS HELP ME

i play with vista end no problem except dc every 10 min , plz i need help for the dc problem
