New gaming computer for sro???

I was thinking about getting a new PC for gaming, more specifically, for SRO.

I want a computer than will let me run 3 or more SRO clients, with top graphics and without any computer lag.

How good is your computer and what one would you recommend?

Any reply will be appreciated!

Thanks a lot.

thanks, and how about the graphics? do you run on maximum graphics?

silkroad is inefficient even with the best pc you'll still have lagg with max settings. That has something to do with the shadow and some other settings. but silkroad is a pretty old game(2005) so almost every pc nowdays can run a few clients.

Alienware auora shoud be best

AlienWare Aurora features A quad core AMD® Phenom™ 9850 Black Edition processor with HyperTransport™ technology, up to 3TB of storage capacity, 4GB of RAM, and Blu-ray Disc® drive. But the most impressive feature will be the optional ATI Radeon 4870 X2, which promises 2.4 teraflops of raw graphics power. The other models that offer 4870 X2 are the Area-51 and Area-51LX. Price ranges from $1100 to $1600

now i have a full gaming pc (16gb ram/ i7 2,6k 4 Ghz/HIS 6990/ etc.)
but before i had a normal dualcore 2.8 ghz, 4gb ram and a shitty nvidia graphiccard.
and i was able to open 10 clients, with low graphic settings and with Hiding the windows.
and for 3 clients you don t really need some "pro" stuff..
3 clients in FULL HD = 400mb RAM each(lowest resoltuion 80-100MB RAM each)--> 1,2GB ram + system etc. so 4 gb ram are more than enought, the graphic is low anyway and for the CPU is a quad core more than enought too :D

intel dual core 3.06 Ghz
7 GB DDR2
GeForce GT 430 2GB RAM
HDD 500 GB

Can open more then 8, but not at high graphics.

Hint: buy the parts yourself, and worst case, pay someone to put em togehter if you dunno how to.
An already built pc is always overpriced in comparison with buying the parts.
Mine costed in parts 300€ + 20€ for the guy who put it togheter (not a newb, a profi from a pc shop).

any garbage can run SRO without problem

from : intel P3 , 512 Ram , 128mb Video

to : i7 extrem edition , 8G ram , Dual 580GTX

it depens of how many clients and games you will open

I have been open 7 SRO or 2 SRO + (Crysis or COD2) (Full GQ at 1600X1200)with P4 , 4G ram , 7800GTX

now with my Qosmio 505X I can open 15 SRO + Vindictus or 10 SRO + (Flatout Ultimate Carnage or Duke nukem Forever or any game XD) (Full GQ at 1680X945)
