with crap equip Ele... If you can buy really good equip and some wc sorc is faster till 99. But when u go level in HH sorc cant level in solo easy, ele can. So ele...
And pvp are both good, but ele can tank little more and can heal herself. Sorc is more fast and could be great as pk char.

if its Ur first char: sorc
if you have some gold and wc for EQ and stuff: ele
It have been discussed so many times. In the end its Ur own choice, sorc kinda sux in pvp in higher lvls where ele pwns. Till 99 sorc is lvling machine, ele is a bit slower but if you have twinks and WC it really can kill anything in its way.

ele is the best..... u just need realm 2 blodes kark or luke and an okheros ! that's all.... and u can tank... :) and u need normal lens and evade pots ! ele is rly cheap !

You'll need more than ingame gold to lvl your character. Go sell some drugs on the streets or rob a bank, so you can buy Wc. That's the only thing that matters in this game.

Sorc is an absolute beast in pve (not able to solo in HH? gimme a break lol) and in 1 on 1 pvp.
Eles make up for it in being able to tank more in sieges, rvr, etc.
Sorc VS Ele = sorc will win mostly
3 Sorcs VS 3 Eles = sorcs would get their asses whooped
