Help with SV

I have bought 2 SV´s, one for me and another for a friend. The SV worked perfectly for 3 days and then the SV server went down and they had to buy a new one.

Since then, my SV never worked again. The SV admins say that the new server is up and running, and it must be something with my computer or internet connection.

I run Vista and i know Vista sometimes blocks programs. I have disconnected my firewall manualy but it always shows has firewall conneted. I also changed the setting to comunicate with SV depite de firewall, but i still cannot connect to the SV server. I get the error:

Welcom to use SV Platform!
Logging......
Login Error:
Server no responsed or off-line,Pls login later!

Does anyone know what can i do in my Vista to allow me to connect to the SV server? My friends SV runs perfectly on XP.

Dos u use run as admin?

Yes i run has admin. Like i said i used SV before, but after 3 days Vista doesn´t give access to the SV server, it is somehow blocking it. I don´t know if it´s a firewall problem or something else.

If anyone can help, i would apreeciate alot.

may be obvious but did u remove the sv and then try to unpack it again?
try logging sv on another computer if you can, that'll tell u for sure if it's sv or ur pc.
and then maybe someone can help u from there

When i the SV server went down, they sent me a new SV that i unpacked without deleting the old version.

Thank you Dirtnapper, thanks to you i found the problem. When they sent me the new SV i did not delete the files of the old one, so the new was conflicting with the old.
