do you have a tutorial in editing level/pt for armors using hex editor?

I've search the forums, and I've only found the tutorial for editing potions...

I've edited my weapons manually using hex editor so that it can be used even in lvl 1...

I've already searched in the ring memory so far I failed in armors :(

can someone help me? hints would be good enough...

All items have the same xx xx FF xx FF address for level and pt requirement. Just look for it the armor you want to wear and edit the numbers.

ok I'll try again thanks

so far I've found this in armors using hex editor

00 01 FF 00 FF 00

I've changed some of it in 0 is this correct?

I've noticed it much more different in editing potion delay and weapons

I believe that is a level 50 armor you are editting.
06/05/2008 09:02 starforces#6
yup
it's a hassle to edit all your armors using CE... that's why I prefer it to edit directly so that the only thing I have to do is to hot swap

@starforces

Can you post your nopatch_rf.exe and rfonline.bin. Mine doesn't work. It gives me an error message. Something like I should run rf in log mode.

rf bypass rf bin:

no patch exe:

I haven't tried this one yet
credits for distraction for providing this link:

1. Extract this files in your RF Folder.
2. After extracting, Run RFO Multipatcher then click "Patch" the one on the top and wait
until your RF.exe is patched.

Also this file allows you to dual log-in meaning to say 2 windows of RF.

@starforces

I'm abit confused with the instructions. Which one should I patch rf.exe or nopatch_rf.exe? Anyways, I'll try patching nopatch since it will be the one I'll be using.

got it finally working if you edit your items via item.edf using hex editor all items counts as intense... even if you have a normal armor and you want it to have a lower lvl and pt requirement...

Quote:
make sure you have a backup of your edf file
Quote:
search it there are links on some threads
drag your old item.edf to your EdfDeCrypt in your edftool

an item (dat file) will pop out use hex editor to open it...
just search the items which is case sensitive

you must have edf tools to make this work...

search the armor you want to edit ( it should always start with "intense")

when you find it look for values like this

ex:values would pop out for your armors look above it and search for something like this
32 02 FF 36 FF

Quote:
00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 32 02 FF 36 FF 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 02 19 03 00 00 00 00 00 00 80 9B C3 00 00 20 41 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 02 00 00 00 00 00 00 6D 06 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 3F 53 DE BB 3D 00 00 00 00 41 03 00 00 50 01 05 C0 49 6E 74 65 6E 73 65 20 45 57 20 43 6F 72 65 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00
change 32 and 36 to 0 or any number you like that corresponds to your level...

save it

go back to your edf tools.... drag your item (dat file) in EdfCyrpt

a file will pop up named Item.data.edf

rename it to Item.edf then paste it to your data table

credits to those who posted tutorials regarding pothack... that has given me an idea about this...

this better than scanning for your armors every time you log in

I only tried the no patch exe

Good Job! By the way, did you just edit the item.edf? I tried that but it doesn't work. I turns out that you also have to edit item.dat. After editing item.dat, an error message occurs "Forgery File Detected". But I did not use nopatch_rf then. That was why I asked you for it.
06/05/2008 11:27 starforces#15
you must bypass your rf first since it can detect file forgery....

try this link this were I got it...
