Greetings , e*pvp Staff,

I have thought of Getting a further step closer to your community. To join the Moderation group wont be my last ambitions. I have really got high hopes in e*pvp forums especially the silkroad online one. Being a normal member around is not bad at all. However, I cant help developing and making the forums better as Iam in that position. I already know that we have got very great Moderators in Sro Section there. Still, I always believe that there is always something better.

By Joining e*pvp crew I will concentrate on Moderating and developing the look of the Forums and its order. Take for example Double/Trible posting, that could be avoided 95% by using a function I saw in other Forums which would merge any two messages by a row posted by the same user. Making like "Are you new around?" Thread would also very essential. That thread could include the things that a new member should be aware of before he even write his first reply. And there would be no chance that he would avoid seeing that thread as we might make it the first thing would appear to him after activating his account. And ... I just want to save the rest until I would be more closer to make them into reality myself, hopefully.

The Reason I have chosen Sro to be my first step, Hopefully, that its the only one I play between the other Games around in e*pvp. I like that Forum so much that I can spend average 4-5 hours a day. Its the reason that I have started learning AutoIt Scripting. I always look for new ideas for my scripts to solve Sro problems . My first Script in posted in e*pvp, LogSro, was really my very AutoIt Compiled Script. The idea of making it, raised to my mind after seeing many threads there about Auto-Login into Sro. Some presented temporary working tools and others very limited tools. So I started to solve that problem for good. First version, v1.0.1 . Current Version, v1.2 . Version under progress, v2.0 .

In the Same time, I was observing the new problem that raised from the agbot with the feature of scripting. Again, several thread were opened to create as many Scripts of those as possible. The big agbot thread replies were mostly about scripting in agbot. Regardless that there are some few bugs with agbot ,at the moment. But some people find it hard to deal with this full of buttons creating script window. Some others is fed up from making a new one every time he want to change area of hunting. As a Result, I've decided to work out an agbot script generator which I will call AgGen. I know that Iam working at two Script at the same time Now. But Scripting in AutoIt is just fun to me as I get to learn new functions everyday ^^.

Btw, I can also decompile AutoIt Scripts if that would be of any help in the future. Olly Dbg is also one of my favorite programs. Still learning the basics with helpful tips from invinciblenoob ^^.

In the mean while, I keep jumping from thread to another, probably searching for ideas for my next third script ... but Iam actually keeping in touch with the most recent problems. Try to answer as many problems I know as I can. Last week. Even after I had answered a problem, I saw it again in another thread !?!?! Still I either give him a better explanation and or link him to the appropriate official Guide. That way he will be able to depend on himself and solve his own problems in the future.

Its true that I have got only one thread around which is LogSro. That's only temporary until I make even further useful scripts. I don't like making a thread of a tool made by another team or guy. There is no doubt that most of them are useful. But I like to post my own work only. I already think that other members are doing great jobs in linking us to the best programs there is to be nowadays.

Reacting with others is the most enjoyable thing to me. Thats not only because I like helping as I get helped but also because I like writing in English. I just cant wait for the chance that I can reply some useful post there. Once I got it , I try and put as much words as I can. Although replies with few Details is just a pain. But Sometimes I just like it Because I would have to think of every possible solution and go happy writing in English. Its True that my first language is Arabic as Iam from Kuwait ( thats in Middle East ) But I still need to practice English for as my studies are mostly in English. Thats actually just another main reason why I like to be active as much as possible in e*pvp.

If am to see an Flame /Spam I will just calm down first. Advice him using simple common sense like " Imagine thats written to you. What would do ? " and Hopefully he will understand the message. However, If Iam to be in a Moderator position , I will first clear out the problem between the two sides and then enjoy giving a punishment like infraction and so on.

I have tried to find a good site to act as a Mod there for a long time. At last, I found the place that deserve my effort and time. Yes, in e*pvp, This will be my first experience as Moderator.

Last thing, I have done some research about the state of Moderating in Sro Section. I have Actually asked some of the Sro Moderators ( don't want to mention names, as they might don't want it to be mentioned ). I don't want to say exactly what I've got in the replies either. But the next few lines will about them.

Some might say that am already Rejected as the state of Moderating is too good to ask for a new one. I will just save some space for my feedback and talk about it now. I have mentioned the main reason that I want to join them. You know, the parts where I said that I want to Develop like Unseen things and make like better system of the forum and so on. However, I have to think of every possibility here, Some will still say 7 is Full. No more space for 8 . Well, if that the case, then I would just say I will wait for my name to be called. I don't mind waiting until The crew decides. I will just prove myself even more until that moment comes. Who knows, Some of the current Moderators might be promoted. They have really got experienced enough to be promoted at any time, in my opinion. Or even may transfer.

If you want to look at it in another way, Maybe the cycle of promoting cant move until a new guy come in place instead. Thats just a possibility. I just dont want to get those replies here about we have got enough Mods or something like that. What is more important to me is your opinion about me and what you have read here in my application.

I like your application. Its really original ;)

I think you would make a good mod. You know what you talk about and you already help people with your Logsro and other things.

But I think there is no need for a mod atm. We already have a new one Frankko.

LogSro is only the beginning of my contributions in this forum. I will try my best.

I totally agree what the other people said. Wonderful application, but again- most people think it is tight in the Co2 section- (Which I assume is about the same size because it has the same amount of forums) and the Co2 section has 2 active mods that people see every day. People think that's stuffed. That section has 7 mods!

Glad that you saw my Application, hok30.

I will make sure that I will get e*pvp even more organized like my application When Iam in position, Hopefully. In my opinion, a Forum got no limit of Moderators as there is no limit for the users that are joining e*pvp. Its true that we got 7 Mods, But the ones that are Deep in action, Surfs the threads and taking care, are only 4 at the moment. I dont mean that others are sleeping. Iam only talking about the ones that I see in Sro General/Hack Section.

We can always say that our forums are well Moderated with the current number of Moderators. However, Iam applying here not only for Spotting Flames and Help Solving Minor programs/tools But also to get everything together. As I have indicated in my application, if you had surfed through the last 100 replies posted in the Sro Section you would most probably notice that there are only 10 replies repeated not only in the other similar threads but in the same thread as well !! Now why is that repeating is happening ?

We always say to use the search function to search for what we want before replying. Thats true and the best thing to do. However, thats still not enough !! I suggest that a thread could have a mechanism of making an FAQs Section in its first post. Now you might ask what is that exactly ? Well, First, a reply should be always going under type name. We could have like 3 or 4 types of replies in total. A user cant reply until he choose the type of his reply. Those types could be " Saying Thanks only " , " Asking a Question " , " Answering a Question " and " Others ". You see what I mean ? Then, the thread will automatically copy that Question and its answer to the first post under going the title of FAQs giving it the ordered number. Users will get used to this mechanism and love it for they only have to check the first post before replying.

Thats only some of What Iam thinking to develop e*pvp. Do others still think that our Section is well Moderated ? Just think about it again. We need to think of our Forum from every point of view. We need to see a Question posted only once.

There is still many things that I can write about and think that needs more attention. But I will just save them for I want to apply and take care of myself, Hopefully. The Moderators can do there usual normal jobs like everyday while I can take care of getting the Forums in its best shape. That includes that am ready to do what any Moderators should do. Take a look again around our Sro Section. There is always something that needs more attention there. :)

forum could automatically say that user will post in wrong section (for no-question section) or move it to the correct one (thread-creating) (not for posted things where ppl have questions, so i think threadstarter)

I cant wait and see what does the other Sro Mods think of my application :rolleyes:. I hope that someone would agree me that Extra Mod is always needed. I cant really see the problem with having an Extra Mod. That also could not be an Extra but an essential to take care of everything.

Maybe we could have a specific task for each Mod in the future. :rolleyes: I dont know if the crew is already doing that. But I can take the job of Observing the current mechanism in most of the threads and the shape of the forum with its order there. Then, I will try to take the appropriate action for it or even suggest it to the higher positions if it wasn't in my hands to do. Maybe someone thinks of something else ?

I was also just thinking as I read your posts- Yes, sometimes it is useful to post really long posts, but sometimes the user won't read the whole thing because it is so long. I think sometimes the length can take away from the content.

But I believe that most users look for full sentences with as much explaining as possible. Sometimes, my post do get long. However, thats only to meet as much possibilities as possible that a user could face in his situation.:rolleyes:

Yeah- Full sentences and words is great, and sometimes long posts are good. In some cases though- users do not want to read a whole page full of all of the possibilities.

I was offered a position of Moderating in a new Silkroad Forum somewhere else ...

The Admin there Saw my application here ^^ ... What do you think guys ?

Your choice should be yours and not ours I think.

You must think which community do you like more.

It would be interest which community that is.

Otherwise... you can get there the Basic-Mod-Experience and have better chances onto this board...

Here is what Iam going to do then, I will Moderate in the other site Since the Moderation stat is Stable here at the moment. In fact I was like a Moderator under training for the past couple of days there. I believe that they use the same moderation Control panel as in here. The Admin there , so far, liked to contributions I have added there. :)

I wished for e*pvp to be my first community that I will help. :rolleyes: .... But It just look like our Moderators are doing great job here :D. Who knows , Your Community could be my second one to Moderate someday hopefully. :rolleyes: .....

So far, I know how to put some announcements , Stick , Close , Delete , Ban , Edit , Change title thread and many other things in Moderating :). It looks easy with that Bulletin. All what you need is some effort and time from yourself to do the job right. The Site ,as I mentioned, is a Brand New one. Even the Staff team is still not a complete one to Function the site probably.

If possible , I Still want to Moderate here. You can say , Iam only there to see myself as a Moderator. Getting the Basic-Experience of Moderating ,as Vyn said. I like e*pvp Community more than any other ones I have seen. I will talk to my Admin about this. Iam sure he will understand:p. So I hope my application wont be closed for my decision. Iam still here. I will even visit the Sro Forums as usual. Post any new scripts of mine. If you will look for any new Moderators , please , consider me in ;). I will just leave the other community Iam working at now , and be honored to work with you guys in the best Sro forums EVER :).
