Anyone can help ?

I got a problem . So when i was trying to get in server , it said Failed to connect to game server!!!

Then i found a post , about updating . I updated and then i got red x's . And also i can't install the services back =/ Anyone got any ideas ?

Sorry, i totally mis-read what problem you had.

that error (cant connect to game server) means youære either trying to connect to the wrong IP (make sure you have YOUR Ip defined in the ini files, and changed on the game.exe you're using.

it could also be a firewall problem, so make sure all your ports are open and so on :)

Btw, now you did update, you probably have to install all the server fresh (thats what i did after that anyways)

Ok now i got another problem ... some of the services go back to pause sign after green arrow . I checked the guide and it said to check the ini files . I did and saw that they had problems , but how can i resolve them ?

Just right click them and manually start them.

Also, I saw someone post that you should NEVER update by SQL.
It messes up the files or something.

yeah as infamous said, right click them after doing start all server service and click "start service" or something like that..
Is it session that sometimes doesnt load up, then game or login? or is it just game that fails?

you may have to post your log files (or check them yourself) to find your problem.

Now i got it running , and i use lph's tool to extract files from data.saf , but then when i modify something then export it to a data.saf file , and i paste it over the non edited one , when i start the game it says sgraphic has stopped working ( from windows ) . What should i do ?

What did you change ? Skill.SData ? the problem might be you double encrypted the file with the data tool, or you tried to add the "wrong" one to your data.saf

Give a little more info so we can help :)

Quick easy fix would be, use the old files before you changed them (hope you made a backup) :P

I edited the SData file with the items . Tried to make my own " Admin weapon " =p

ahh i see, did the item making go as planned?
i guess you used an already existing item, and edited it to your specifications.

try open your data.saf with LPH's tool, extract the item.sdata again. Open that in Castors ShStudio and check if it contains your admin weapon (all working and defined correctly) if it does, save the file.
Go back to LPH's tool, right click "item.sdata" and import, find the newly saved file from ShStudio and give it a minute to work.
Next you need to make sure the items are updated in your database aswell.
ShStudio makes a script up for you to do that automatically, just run that and et your database work. it will update your item table. now restart your server and give it a go..

he must extract all files from the data.sah (File / Extract All) and not only the item.sdata because shStudio needs the weapon (and other) models files to be present (and also because your next wish will be to edit something else).

so extract all, and setup the "client repository" of ShStudio (Tools / Settings) to this folder. then edit item.sdata as indicated.

note that "Shaiya Data File Tool" wrongly reports that the imported item.sdata is not encryped - that is an error - the file is encrypted and shall not be ciphered twice, so click "Yes" to "import as it is".

mhmms, we got it all working in the end (was database, and not importing atall that was the problem) People learn eventually, they just need a few nudges in the direction of the guide xD
