Clients getting laggy

Hi guys, so today I've decided to start my own party. Atm I got 6 chars but I'm facing some annoying problems:
1. My clients take up a huge ammount of Ram. In excess of 1Gb
2. Clients get laggy after a while and they move in slow motion:D even though I still got some free RAM and CPU isnt at 100%.

My pc spec is : CPU: Intel core i7 2630QM at 2.00Ghz but running 8 cores
RAM: 8 GB-- this is what makes me pissed off since I cant start the last 2 clients :(
GPU: Nvidia GTX 460 with 1 GB of memory

Any ideas on how to reduce RAM and CPU usage? I've changed clients resolution to 1024*768 hoping it would increase performance but it didnt help that much. RAM usage is still a major problem

Ah forgot to say, my OS is Win 7 Home premium.

Thanks in advance:P

just decrease the resolution to 800x600, desable audio, put the settings at the lowest quality etc, (let the graphic only at your main char a bit better if you use it much time)
or you can open taks list and kill all unusual task, and disable unusual services ^^
at vista/7 you can z.B. disable the miniaturetools or the Aeor design etc.
or evtl you forgott to install graphic driver?
or you just have a very low internet connection x < 1MB

I'll try 800*600.
Internet connection is 100mbps with Frankfurt direct link:)
I got all my drivers up to date
I'll disable aero to see how much it improves performance.

evtl you need to update your mainboard (PCI-E) and graphiccard driver, so check if its outdated or not :D
PS: evtl you need to download DirectX 10 or 11 (when you haven t done this already)
