CO/Windows cursor problem

Whenever I move my cursor ingame, my fps keeps dropping. I want it to just display only my Windows cursor instead of the CO cursor, because currently it is showing them both and causing fps drops (on laptop). so is there anyway of disabling the conquer cursor so it will only show my windows cursor ?

The cursor is a .ani file. You could just remove the file. But who knows what that would do, it might just turn invisible. Worth a shot though. Data>Cursor just delete everything.

Probably in the ini files somewhere, unless you wanna go through them all.

It has to do with your graphics driver. I had the same issue when Windows 7 was introduced. I had to wait until a newer driver came out for my video card. You would always complain to your card's company about supporting the DirectX 8 game.

If i woud find a way to disable the i think hardware cursor on conquer internally i should be fine.

Any clues on where to seach on olly? I tried to hexedit the entries to the windows default cursors, it still flickers.

Ive uploaded the Conquer Exe if anyone wants to help..
EDIT:

Booted windows XP - works
Booted windows vista - doesnt work - unless i disable aero & hw acceleration
booted win7 - doesnt work- unless i disable aero & hw acceleration
booted win8 doesnt work - no option to disable aero / hw acceleration
Change your Windows cursor to the "Normal.ani" cursor in ConquerDirectory\data\Cursor and it'll all be smooth

Maybe the cursor is not the issue. Maybe you should get a new laptop...

As I said, it has to do with your drivers. Make sure they're up to date. If they're not, that's why. Also, if your laptop is old (like, Windows XP old), you seriously need to upgrade.

NOT A FRIGGIN LAPTOP. PC running win 8. Please guys read.

Anyway, i wasnt able to fix it so i went with 7. Disappointing.

And yes my drivers were always up to date.. however i should be able to use drivers older than the current since the client is friggin 5 years old.
I'm telling you it's the laptop. Like, right now I have an NVIDIA GTX 680, it has problems with Conquer Online as well because they're still working on the Windows 8 drivers. If you don't tell the company about the problem, they probably won't fix it. Stop[ blowing my advice off and try asking them for support.

Alright, desktop. Sorry. Chill out.
