If users see, that you are chatting, I think they would think less that you Bot.

whether you chat or not...if an admin saw you botting you will be banned... so better take care now-a-days because there are many admins roaming to check player and ban them manually..

I wouldn't use the chat while botting. But its up to you, i just wouldn't take that risk. And i change my nickname at least once a week, so no one even know my name on chat.
