Starting now, we're introducing a new system that will help us crack down on players who use illegal software applications (bots) to run automated tasks to gain an advantage in the game.
Game accounts using a bot younger than four weeks will be immediately deleted without warning.
Users who have game accounts with a bot older than four weeks will be penalized based on our new system with different penalty levels.
Level 1
The player will be banned for one day. Afterwards the player will be able to log back into DarkOrbit using a so-called CAPTCHA code. As a penalty, the player will have the following deducted from their account:
20% EP
10% honor
33% credits
100% Jackpot money
100% galaxy gate energy
Level 2
If the user continue to use the bot after the first warning and penalty has been issued, their account will be banned for seven days. Afterwards they will be able to log back into DarkOrbit using a so-called CAPTCHA code. As a penalty, the player will have the following deducted from their account:
50% EP
50% honor
50% Credits
100% Jackpot money
100% galaxy gate energy
Level 3
If the user continues to use the bot after the second warning and second penalty has been issued, their account will be banned forever.
