[HELP] Opening multiple things at once?

Okay I'm a very basic coder, and I tried to make a simple exe through notepad that would open a few programs at once so I wouldn't have to go through the trouble of double clicking through folders to get to all the .exe folders or even making shortcuts because it is actually 5 programs I need to open. I know this may sound dumb to probably all of you, but help would be appreciated. I currently have C++ but I'm quite the newbie to it, and the tutorials refuse to help me. (C++ i one of the programs I need to open)

Just use a batch script.

.........you've already lost me, i've definitely heard of batch scripts, I just need a link to help me out right now lol xD sry im definitely a newbie right now, just need a little help to get me started.
