[Guide]How to Prevent Cabal From Crashing

are you having Crashes lately due to the latest xtrap update?!
i have recently found out that it will consumes a lot of memory(DDRAM) when you played Cabal(N/A)..ive searched for a solution that might work and have read articles and threads to cabalonline.com and ogplanet.com and found out of these solutions.

Possible Solution No. 1:
Disabling auto-restart to see whats causing the problem. to do:

1-right click on my computer
2- click on the advanced tab
3-click on settings for "startup and recovery"
4-uncheck automatically restart tab

Possible Solution No. 2:
(Not Recomended for non-expierienced PC troubleshooter)

1. Open the registry editor. start->run-> regedit

2. go to
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Contro l\Session Manager\Memory Management

3. Double click on "PagedPoolSize"

4. Replace the existing value with the one of the three listed below using hexadecimal
//choose either one
0c000000 <---192mb
10000000 <---256mb
18000000 <---384mb


5. Restart your PC

6. Enjoy cabal

in this method,the "PagePoolSize" allows you to Free some unused memory(acts like a dump)
and prevent common crashes to cabal..

PS: i uses the 256mb

Possible solution No. 3:
If your Using any "Logitech" mouse..you need to unisntall it and change for a non "logitech" brand mouse coz xtrap detects LmouFlt2.sys w/c is a file associated w/ Logitech. in addition, mostly wireless mouse w/ .sys files associated with it makes the game crashes..

All the soultuions have done and maked same as you 10000000 (256mb)

This guide is for windows XP only..i'll make another guide for windows vista premium users..

Im Windows XP user :p hmm i use logitech mouse but without drivers (drivers uninstaled) thats can be by it?

sec sec sec ... its say like "change name cabalrider.exe to cabalmain.exe and paste to cabal folder?

try to uninstall cabal and the logitech mouse. then reinstall cabal and install a new mouse (not a logitech branded one). then use solution no.1 to find out what .sys or what file malfunction(this will give you blue screen and look for a file[e.g. MRVW245.sys, nddkmklv.dll, etc]). after distinguishing the file, manual delete it from C:\Windows\system32 (NOTE:Be careful on deleting and troubleshooting "windows" folder),then delete Xtrap folder from C:\ProgramFiles\OgPlanet\Cabal, then restart. log in and play. it works on my friend's pc using XP..

if you did not change your cabalmain.exe before, just leave it as it is..

hmmm don't have in system32 files: MRVW245.sys, nddkmklv.dll and dont have this "C:\ProgramFiles\OgPlanet\Cabal" my Cabal are instaled on other disc here too no folder "xtrap" etc, hmm but i use EU version so the Xtrap is ur game protector program? or you too have GameGuardian?

ohhh ok your using cabal EU..hmmmm,instead of xtrap folder,delete gameguard folder then restart.

set it to 192mb coz you only have a 1Gb memory. 256mb is for 2Gb RAM.
