Making shadows aka crosshairs after patch 5022?

I have finally decided to try and have fun with my co folder with regard to editing char etc...

I saw a topic on this site where people were altering their shadows to make cross hairs.

I have done what the poster showed in his video to do, and it does not work.

So 2 questions please:

1- Can this still be done?

2- could someone please explain to me how to do it, either through private message or through tis topic?

I don know shit bout tht crosshair thing. Im only into editing arms n weps

Perhaps... make the shadow the way you want it to be, either on PS CS3 or some other image editing software, then simply convert to .dds and find the shadow file in your folder...?

I don't know if this will help but it'd be worth the try..

i dont know how to convert a JPG file to dds.. can anyone explain it to me??.. or just make a crosshair and send it to me ???

Open the JPG file with Photoshop, then just go Data->Save as->Choose the Name->then under Type, choose .dds!
