wish you didn't have to pay for this because I like the free trials, but I'm not a fan of throwing down money for software that could become obsolete at any time. I'm all for donations though, just to have the bot free to use =)

I would like to share some of my experience in my bot business here.

Me too was a donation-based before, when I first release my home-made bot to public ( The one that XIVHelper selling it right now ). Because when I first release, I think that this kind of program should be free and if someone like it he/she might donate to me :D. I also give away my source code because I want to make some community too but it turn out to be a big mistake.

After 1 month of release... I got 4.99$ from someone that like it and willing to donate to me as a thank you gift. Well...it was not much money but it too few to continue working on it "Full time"

One day, I visit MMOPAL site and see that they charge bot very expensive ( 40$ for only 1 crafting bot, 20$ more for fishing bot! ) But even the high price tag... he still got lot of people request for premium access everyday! ( Even he didn't update his program much.. )

Then I realized that this donation-based is not gonna work.So I changed to some pay-me-and-get-the-bot model. And I got enough support to continue update my bots and make it better like these day.

If I still go on with donation-based.. I think I was stop develop it long time ago.

Let's think about our self that we got everything we want for free, why bother pay more?
( You compare this to AppStore, right now program that just 0.99$ only but people still don't buy it, but when it change to free, people download it like crazy and moved to top 10, and when it change to 0.99$ again... it got bury at rank 1000 ... )

So.. if you like my bot, think about 39.99$ as a donation for my hard work I did so far..

I can guarantee that you'll never regret what you pay for my bot :D

lol alright I'll think about it. You could also do a donation system similar to what the guys over at FFEVO do. You get the basic bot for free, then, if you donate, you get "premium access." For example: On the free side, you could have the bot that will reel, jig, wait, and jig on "fish tired" but on the Premium side, you could have a database function that tells you where certain fish are located, what their sweet spots are, what bait to use (and have the bot set that bait for you), auto Spear Fishing functions, etc. It seems to work well for them =)

The only time I would purchase premium is if I loved the bot and wanted the extra features.

Otherwise I would use non-premium.

Although. He could add advertisements to free version and get paid per advertisement ^^.

true lol. I used to use the premium FinalFisher from FFEVO back when it was FFACE. That bot was absolutely amazing lol I haven't played 11 in 2 years and I still, to this day, have that bot on my HDD.

There was a hidden reason that I put the price tag.
I want to prevent anyone from using bot.. Just for some people that willing to purchase only.

I still remember my feeling when I played ragnarok online and almost everyone using bot and service provider do nothing about it... And that made I quit that game.

So, I believed this price tag can slowdown bot widespread ..lol

Anyway, thank you guys for your comment and suguestion. Ill think about it.^^

just saw that .NET bot that check ffxiv game memory was broken.. And more than 12 hours from server up but it still unusable..

And this will continue like this every 2 weeks ( if SE update their game as they said )

You can make sure that my bot don't have a downtime like this, because Im using pixel checking method, kinda old school but effective.

I hope dev of other bot can solve this problem soon /cheer

I signed up last month to moetoy.com for his fishing bot and have had nothing but good results. The admin is also very open to suggestions for the improvement of his botters experience. Keep up the good work Moetoy :D

Sometimes it'll keep picking Wait even though there's a bite.

This bug is a delay bug.
Try increase "Wait Bite" option to 5000 and problem should solve.
I'll set default value to 5000 in next version. ^^

moetoy, I would buy your fishing bot if you could make it work while the game is minimized.

Looking at that bot and yours, one thing that stands out is that the linked one allows for "unattended" mining, meaning it WILL run from point to point, whereas yours does not. Is this something you are working on changing, or will this feature not be available in your mining bot for the forseeable future?
